§ 5.04.040. Exemption—Application procedure in general

  • A. Any person wishing to apply for an exemption pursuant to section 5.04.030 shall complete an application available at the City Clerk's office disclosing the character of the business which entitles the applicant to such an exemption. Such application shall state the name and address of the institution or organization which is conducting, managing or carrying on such business and the names and addresses of all persons engaged in such business on behalf of such institution or organization. A current financial statement of the institution or organization, or other financial data which data will permit a determination to be made relative to the use of the proceeds of the business, shall be submitted to the City Clerk with such application.

    B. All applications for such exemptions shall be referred to the City Attorney and the police department for investigation relative to the financial integrity of the organization, the authority of the applicant to act for the organization which it purports to represent and any other information which will assure that this section has been complied with.

    C. At the conclusion of the review by the City Attorney and police department pursuant to section 5.04.040(B) above, the City Clerk shall transmit notice to the applicant of the City's approval or disapproval of the application for exemption.
